Regulation Rooms.

We are excited to partner with several rural Missouri schools to provide regulation room services for students.  We aim to regulate all the things...sensory, behavior, emotions...*Regulation Before Expectation* is our motto.

Our Regulation Room services are based on the primise of Reflex Integration. Reflexes are intended to provide safety. When reflexes fail to integrate when they should, or integrate incorrectly, we can see symptoms such as anxiety, attention issues, behavioral concerns, as well as various types of learning difficulties, among many, many other symptoms.

Our Partners.

We are grateful for our partnership with the following school districts and grant funds.

Masgutova Neurosensorimotor Reflex Integration (MNRI)

The Masgutova Method is widely known as the Missing Link for individuals experiencing symptoms of a wide variety of diagnoses. This work consists of specific movement patterns to address retention of primary motor patterns (also known as retention of primitive reflexes).

While all of our staff has taken 1 or more MNRI courses, Ms.Devin is considered a Level 1 Core Specialist in Training.

Rhythmic Movement Training International (RMTi) ®

Rhythmic Movement Training International (RMTi) ® supports an individual’s ability to achieve their highest potential through the use of rhythmic, innate, developmental movements.

Rhythmic movements are gentle rocking and reflex integration movements that stimulate neural pathways and promote learning, emotional balance and ease of movement.

RMTi works with integrating the retained, or underdeveloped, infant reflexes (also called primitive reflexes or neonatal reflexes) that are involved in learning challenges such as ADD/ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, writing problems, focusing and comprehension challenges, and coordination difficulties. It has also been successful in working with people with anxiety, panic, emotional imbalances, behavioral problems, schizophrenia, Parkinson’s, psychosis, and PTSD/History of Trauma.

Learning Without Tears ™

Learning Without Tears ™ is a suite of programs that target not only handwriting, but typing and accessibility as well. LWT products are based on the knowledge of how children develop, and the steps that prepare a child to be successful. We love this program because it works well for both visual and auditory learning styles, and has a strong sensorimotor base for many of the activities used in teaching the LWT methods.

Bal-A-Vis-X ™

Bal-A-Vis-X™  stands for Balance, Auditory, Vision, eXercises. The program consists of 200+ exercises, each rooted deeply in rhythm. Exercises address visual tracking deficiencies and auditory imprecision, impulsivity, balance and anxiety issues. By virtue of teachable techniques (not athleticism), Bal-A-Vis-X™  enables body systems to experience the flow of a pendulum, thereby affording brain systems calm and sustained focus. Individual exercises promote self-challenge. Partner and group exercises demand cooperation and foster peer teaching. Bal-A-Vis-X ™ is not a game or sport. It is a carefully modulated system that can become increasingly complex OR increasingly simplified/modified for those with severe special needs. Requiring thousands of midline crossings in three dimensions, exercises are steadily rhythmic with a pronounced auditory foundation. Each is executed at a pace that naturally results from proper physical techniques.

Interactive Metronome ®

Interactive Metronome® was developed in the early 1990s and immediately proved of great benefit to children diagnosed with learning and developmental disorders. Over the years, clinical research and therapeutic practice has shown that IM is also beneficial for the rehabilitation of adults following stroke, brain injury, a diagnosis of Parkinson’s Disease, or other neurological disorders.

IM is shown to improve cognition, attention, focus, memory, speech/language, executive functioning, comprehension, as well as motor & sensory skills.

Ms. Devin is a certified IM provider, and offers individual sessions with a specific home program that should be followed for optimum results.

Yoga4Classrooms ®

Ms. Kristin is a certified Yoga4Classrooms ® instructor. Yoga4Classrooms ® helps empower educators to create classrooms that support whole child development through use of compassion as well as moments of mindfulness. More than “just yoga”, this program is focused on whole child development, and ultimately student success. Ms. Kristin is available to train staff in school districts, and would love to share more about this cost-effective program: Kristin@growpedstherapy.org
